40 Week Yearly Planning Overview
~ Planning Sheets
~ Take your textbook and divide the pages by 40 (answer = y)
~ Plan to complete y+2 more pages each week
~ Use the end of sections or comprehension checks as a good guide of where to stop for the week
~ On weeks with tests, do less than y. This will allow your student to have a day or two open for studying.
~ Planning for consumables
~ Using your planning sheets, go back and write in quiz numbers that correspond to the weekly pages you planned
~ Using your planning sheets, go back and write in test numbers that correspond to the weekly pages you planned
~ Using your planning sheets, go back and write in skill sheet numbers that correspond to the weekly pages you planned
~ Using your planning sheets, go back and write in speed drill numbers that correspond to the weekly pages you planned
~ Using your planning sheets, go back and write in any other activity that correspond to the weekly pages you planned
~ Folders
~ Buy 40 of the same color folders and number them 1-40
~ Go through all of your consumable books and tear out quizzes, tests, skill sheets, speed drills, etc for each corresponding week number
~ Place each group of consumable pages into the right hand pocket of its corresponding weekly folder.
~ As students complete the work each week, they will move those papers to the left hand pocket of the same folder.
~ At the end of the week, you will have a folder of your student’s work that you need to assess and grade.
~ Lesson Plan Book
~ Transfer your weekly planning overview into the same weekly section on each corresponding weekly page of your planning book
~ As you reach each week of lessons, write the parts of the weekly work you complete into the daily portions of the lesson plan book for that week
~ Be sure to date each entry
~ Be sure to circle the day of the week
~ At each 10 week section
~ You will find grade sheets for each subject
~ At the end of the last section, ou will find the report card
~ Folder colors should correspond to the same color line in the multi-child planner
~ In the Multi Child Planner, each different color line is designated for a different child.
~ Be sure to buy folders in the corresponding colors.
~ Child 1 = blue
~ Child 2 = yellow
~ Child 3 = green
~ Child 4 = orange
